Lupoto Mine Malachite and Chrysocolla from Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Lupoto Mine is a copper deposit near Kakumba in Haut-Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Collector specimens from the locality are especially known for saturated blue-green chrysocolla associated with malachite, sometimes displaying pseudomorphic forms and fine quartz coatings.
